Call Your Representatives in DC Today

It is time to voice your opinion either way. Up or down. It's time to read about the bailout. Ask questions and get educated. Here's a good read by Jim Quinn.

It's time to call your representatives in DC.

Here's a quote from Ron Paul that sums it up pretty well for me:

"The issue boils down to this: do we care about freedom? Do we care about responsibility and accountability? Do we care that our government and media have been bought and paid for? Do we care that average Americans are about to be looted in order to subsidize the fattest of cats on Wall Street and in government? Do we care?"

Well do we? I believe pretty firmly in the free market. It's all the tinkering with interest rates to avert recessions combined with past bailouts that are coming back to bite us on the ass and it's gotta stop. We can stop now or after we throw $700 Billion at the "crisis."

I'm glad to see such outrage from normal Americans and not looking forward to the certain economic slowdown, but in the end, our kids we'll thank us if we have the guts to say no.

The founding fathers of this country put in place many, many safeguards as to the guidance for the future balance & prosperity of what they had created. Unfortunately, in the era of horse & buggy with letters and word of mouth being the norm of communication they could never have foreseen hundred billion dollar corporations owning everything they touch and controlling the media and the government/politicians through campaign $$$ and lobbyists.

The free press is the "most" under acknowledged concept of our founding fathers. It was as much a part of the nations governmental system plan as the branches of government themselves. It was set free to act as a watch dog over the function of our country/government.
Unfortunately, our media of today does not report news, nor do they investigate and report corruption within our government until after it happens. They focus instead on promoting controversy politically and airing the entertainment worlds dirty laundry.

The clearest example of how far it has gone is Vice Pres. Dick Cheney... who created a policy of absolute secrecy and corporate leverage running our military and national policy of standards. Secret energy commissions, rebuking of court subpoena's ... he laughed at due process, federal law and ethics, yet he has "never" been seriously nor consistently challenged by the media/ free press!

He is an ugly yet shinning example of the dominating corruption within our government and corporate structures. If you want to understand how this enormous bailout came to be and what happened... I.E. where were the warning signals... First ask yourself how Dick Cheney got away with everything he did in the past 8 years both obvious and covert sitting in plain view in the Vice Presidency of this country and has never been called out on it...
