Better Anonymous than Nothing at All?

Woke up pondering the nature of anonymous blogging. Reminds me a wee bit too much of Dick Cheney working Meet the Press to discredit Ambassador Wilson with stories his office had "leaked" to the NY Times as "An Unnamed Senior White House Official."

Two blogs that have surfaced recently are by A Photo Editor, an anonymous photo editor and A Visual Society, an anonymous photo agent. Each packed with tender juicy morsels but I beleive, even more informative and authoritative, if we knew their identity. Why anonymous I wonder?

A Photo Editor says that he or she might loose their job if their identity revealed. Really?

Remember Biosphere? My obsession with homes and housing continues. Could someone please forward my resume to Esto? I'd love to pursue more architectural projects. Thanks.

Can't You Smell The Sausage Frying Up With Peppers and Onions?
The Union Fair Features the Crowning of the Blueberry Princess. Let me see if I can dig up the winner from my first visit to the fair in 1985.....

Picture of the Day 9-14-2007 (The Stone House with the Sod Roof)

Did I mention that we've moved for the Third Time in 13 Months? And that Houses and Housing Are Very Much on Our Minds?

Here's a view to the top of Beech Hill - The Stone House is from 1916. It's getting a new sod roof and being restored by Coastal Mountain Land Trust - I've nominated the view from Beech Hill as the Best View in the State for the upcoming "Best-View-in-the-State" Awards. On a Clear Day you can see Monhegan Island and Cadillac Mountain. I sure hope it wins!

Raise High The Sod Roof.

And Maybe I'll Spend Some Time Thinking About Paths - maybe it's not about the House but about the Path instead....

Here at the Studios of ArtCamp we've been very much editing video - which may be the most time-absorbing activity since the days of the black and white darkroom.

I got an email from Ms Kristen McClarty of June Bug Media looking for pictures from Romania and asking me what happened to my blog.

Who has time? We're editing video. And getting ready to video blog!

Which got me to thinking... isn't it time to take a break - get back in the darkroom? Or at least scan in a print made a few years ago in the darkroom.

so Again Looking Back - this time 1987...now go back and click the image..

9-11-2007 - six years later.

The News Media chatter is all about terrorism and of "Looking Back" and "Looking Ahead."

What Happened to Now?

Makes me think of Robert Frank's book entitled: Hold Still, Keep Going

And speaking of News Media, please listen or watch Bill Moyer's Journal on the corporate consolidation of our media - link
